SERVICES
What services do you offer?
Paw & Claw Co. provides mobile, in-home pet hygiene services for dogs and cats. Our services include nail trims, dremel nail finishing, basic ear cleaning, paw pad hair trims, sanitary trims, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression. Our services are designed to be customized to your pet rather than providing unnecessary services every pet may not need.
Do you offer full grooming?
No. Paw & Claw Co. is not a full-service grooming salon. We do not offer baths, full haircuts, breed-specific grooming, or de-shedding. We focus on nail care and select essential hygiene services, all provided in the comfort of your home.
What packages do you offer?
We offer four simple packages based on your pet's needs:
The Tidy — $25 (Nail trim)
The Little Refresh — $30 (Nail trim + 1 service)
The Freshen Up — $38 (Nail trim + 2 services)
The Paw & Claw — $45 (Nail trim + 3 services)
What is included with The Tidy?
The Tidy is $25 and includes a professional nail trim for dogs or cats in the comfort of their home.
Can I choose my services?
Absolutely. For our customizable packages, you can choose from Dremel Nail Finishing, Basic Ear Cleaning, Paw Pad Hair Trim, Sanitary Trim, or Teeth Brushing. If you're unsure what your pet needs, contact us to discuss the options.
MULTI-PET HOMES
Do you offer a discount for multiple pets?
Yes! We love multi-pet households. When multiple pets receive services during the same appointment, each additional pet receives $5 off their package. For example, if the first pet gets a $30 package, the second receives theirs for $25.
Does the discount apply to all?
The $5 multi-pet discount applies to package pricing. Individual services requested outside of a package are priced separately.
YOUR PET'S COMFORT
What if my pet is nervous or difficult?
That's okay. We work at your pet's pace and prioritize patience, gentle handling, and safety. Some pets need more time, breaks, or reassurance during their appointment.
Will you complete every nail?
We aim to complete services whenever safely possible, but we never force a pet or continue if they become overly stressed. A service may be modified, paused, or stopped when necessary.
Do I need to hold my pet?
Some pets may need their owner's assistance with positioning or gentle restraint during a service. Clients acknowledge this through the Pet Care Consent Form.
IN-HOME SERVICE
Why do you come to my home?
Our mobile service allows pets to receive care in a familiar environment without the noise, waiting room, or stress of a traditional salon. We bring the service directly to you.
What about anal glands?
Anal gland expression is offered separately for $15 as a routine hygiene service. It is not included as a package choice and can be booked as a standalone or add-on service.
SERVICE AREA & TRAVEL
Where do you provide services?
Virginia Beach is our standard service area, and we proudly serve pet parents throughout Hampton Roads. Travel outside our standard service area may include a travel fee based on driving distance.
Is there a travel fee?
Travel within 10 miles is included. Fees beyond 10 miles: 11–15 miles: +$5; 16–20 miles: +$10; 21–25 miles: +$15; 26+ miles: +$20. Fees are charged once per appointment, not per pet.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Can you trim nails if my pet has an injury?
Services may need to be modified or declined if a pet has a condition that makes the service unsafe or uncomfortable. When appropriate, we may recommend consulting your veterinarian.
Do you treat medical conditions?
No. Paw & Claw Co. provides routine pet care and hygiene services and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If we notice a concern, we may recommend veterinary evaluation.
What if my pet resists a service?
Your pet's comfort and safety always come first. If a pet cannot safely tolerate a service, we may modify, pause, or stop that portion of the appointment.
CONSENT & BOOKING
Do I need to complete a consent form?
Yes. A Pet Care Consent Form must be completed before services. This confirms you have provided accurate info and give permission for Paw & Claw Co. to perform the services.
Can a service be stopped?
Yes. Safety always comes first. A service may be modified, paused, or stopped if a pet becomes too stressed, uncomfortable, or unsafe to continue.
What if I only need one specific service?
That's okay! If you're looking for a specific service or something not covered by packages, contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your pet's specific needs and pricing.
